Description: Rudford lives on the bus bench in my neighborhood. Everyday you can see him reading a book (passing the time?). I developed two photos of him, one smiling with his book and this one, darkening his face to just show his eyes. Its a grimmer photo than the smiling one, but "Silver linings" come in all shapes. In this case I am hopefully creating a juxtaposition between life on the street and the value of his book. He has no front teeth and I didn't want that look to become the focus for the viewer. I did want to capture him reading, but that was not to be.
