Description: this photo was taken at the Flower Festival in Medellin Colombia. historically, Colombian farmer would collect the flowers from the field, put them in an arrangement and then carry them on their backs to the market. over the years, this has morphed to what is shown here. large, heavy, elaborate flower arrangements carried for several miles by men and women to celebrate Colombian Flower industry. Colombia supplies 70% of the flowers imported to the US. the Flowers on your table arrangement probably came from Colombia.
