It’s a new decade. What do you want your life to look like?
Would you rather…
A. Sit in a chair, zoning out in front your phone?
B. Travel… have adventures… get healthy… and make income doing things you love?
We all know New Year’s resolutions don’t work. Because getting what we want in life is about choices we make every day. Not just at the dawn of a new year.
In the book The Slight Edge, author Jeff Olson makes the point that all of the little tasks that will get you where you want to be are easy to do… and just as easy not to do. It’s about deciding to do them daily that will get you to your goals.
I love this idea.
Everything from staying healthy… to nurturing relationships… to making your first $1,000 with stock photography comes down to little things you decide to do each day.
For stock photography, it’s simple things like:
- Taking new photos
- Looking at photos on stock sites
- Going through your photos and picking out your favorites to submit
- Adding new photos to your sites
- Learning about your camera & Lightroom
Life is busy. But even if you spend just 20 minutes a day doing any of the above tasks, by the end of the year, you’ll have spent 121 hours making progress.
So, here’s to 2020! Let’s make it our best year, yet.
