I hope you’re doing alright and staying healthy in this strange time.
If you’re cooped up inside and your travel plans are on hold for the time being (mine are – I was planning to go to Italy!) here’s something fun that could bring in a little income…
Our friends at International Living magazine reached out ask if we have any fresh travel photos for their “Images from the Road” section.
Snap & Sell Photo Club readers tend to love travel AND photography, so they thought of us. J
They’re looking for…
- A single travel image of any destination outside the US and Canada
- With a caption of about 100 words, describing the image and where it was taken
- File size above 2mb, resolution 350 dpi (If you send a full-sized image without resizing it or cropping it too much, you should be good.)
Pay is $50 on publication for each image they decide to publish.
They also ask that you send along a statement along the lines of, “I [NAME] am the owner of the attached image and give my permission to International Living to use it in their publications.”
You can send up to three submissions (no more) to: skeenan@internationalliving.com
Just like a stock photo buyer, they’re not purchasing the rights to your photo, just the right to publish it in their magazine. You retain image copyright and ownership.
The timing is great! Since we can’t really go anywhere, this is a perfect time to “relive” some of our recent travels and find a few images to sell, too.
Here’s to your health and sanity over the next few months! Wash your hands and check on your neighbors.
As always, I’ll send you some new stock photo tips and ideas every Friday – things you can do, even if you can’t go anywhere!
